Today, our LMC Phoenix team is sharing three starter habits that will help you build a strong foundation and allow you room to add new habits and prosper. Give yourself time

Our first bit of advice is to give yourself time. It repeatedly happens that you start a new routine or habit, and after three weeks of not seeing the results you desire, you quit. But, did you know that experts believe it takes 616 days to make a new habit stick? Self-development does not happen overnight. You have to give yourself and your mentality time to adapt. Keep track of your progress, and then sit down weekly with your mentor to discuss where you are in your journey; this does not have to be a solo mission. Use your tribe as motivation. That’s what they are there for!

Have a consistent schedule

This next habit may be the most important. Have a consistent schedule! Purchase a planner and layout your day from start to finish; this allows you to quickly develop new habits while guaranteeing the time to complete the rest of your daily responsibilities. Here at LMC Phoenix, we took this up a notch and planned out our week every Sunday. Now, there are minimal surprises in our day, and we know what to expect every morning when we wake up. Stay on top of your schedule, and you will free up more time, allowing you to add more healthy habits to your daily life!

Allow technology to feed your habit

Last but certainly not least, allow technology to feed your habit. Technology is the fuel that guarantees success in today’s world, and your habits are no different. Add thirty minutes into your daily schedule to hop onto Instagram to look up your favorite leadership gurus and to read the newest business articles. Either will keep you consistently motivated and inspired. Our favorite thing about technology is that its reach is limitless. We have two personal apps we favor: Mindful, which will send you reminders to take a mental break, and HabitBull that will keep track of your progress and send you words of encouragement. Take advantage of all that your cellphone has to offer!

Building healthy habits is no easy task. We know this first-hand here at LMC Phoenix. However, we know that we have to push ourselves out of our comfort zones every day to succeed.
